Nominating Committee Report

The Nominating Committee did not receive any nominations by petition as defined in the Connects Federal Credit Union bylaws. The Nominating Committee has one nominee for each open office and therefore has sufficient nominations for the Board of Directors.  The Chair will take a voice vote or declare the election of each nominee by general consent or acclamation at the Annual Meeting.

Slate of Officers

John Roper – John has volunteered for Connects for the past 35 years.  He started with the Credit Committee, joined the Board; currently serving as Treasurer and serves on the Supervisory Committee.  John retired from Verizon and from the State of Virginia.

Elsie Britton – Elsie retired from Verizon in 1991 and has been a Connects member for 50 years.  She has been serving on the Board for 7 years. Elsie believes in the movement and enjoys working with credit union activities in the current financial world.

Grace Siple – Grace was appointed to the board in October 2020 to finish a term vacated by a retired board member. Prior, Grace was employed by Connects as she joined us due to our merger with Virginia Boxer FCU. Grace was the general manager at Virginia Boxer FCU for over 30 years
